2 Denn3754 ihre846 Freude5479 war da2532 überschwenglich4050, da sie846 durch1519 viel4183 Trübsal2347 arm waren, haben4052 sie846 doch reichlich4149 gegeben in1722 aller Einfältigkeit.

2 How that in a great4183 trial1382 of affliction2347 the abundance4050 of their joy5479 and their deep899 poverty4432 abounded4052 to the riches4149 of their liberality.572

3 For to their power,1411 I bear3140 record,3140 yes, and beyond5228 their power1411 they were willing830 of themselves;830

4 und2532 fleheten uns2257 mit3326 vielem4183 Ermahnen3874, daß1519 wir1189 aufnähmen1209 die Wohltat5485 und Gemeinschaft2842 der Handreichung1248, die da geschieht den Heiligen40.
|
4 Praying1189 us with much4183 entreaty3874 that we would receive1209 the gift,5485 and take on us the fellowship2842 of the ministering1248 to the saints.40
|

5 Und2532 nicht3756, wie2531 wir2532 hofften1679, sondern235 ergaben1325 sich selbst1438 zuerst dem HErrn2962 und4412 danach uns2254 durch1223 den Willen2307 Gottes2316,
|
5 And this they did, not as we hoped,1679 but first4412 gave1325 their own selves1438 to the Lord,2962 and to us by the will2307 of God.2316
|

6 daß2443 wir2248 mußten Titus5103 ermahnen3870, auf1519 daß er2532, wie2531 er zuvor hatte angefangen4278, also3779 auch2532 unter1519 euch5209 solche5026 Wohltat5485 ausrichtete2005.
|
6 So1519 that we desired3870 Titus,5103 that as he had begun,4278 so3779 he would also2532 finish2005 in you the same846 grace5485 also.2532
|

7 Aber2532 gleichwie5618 ihr in1722 allen3956 Stücken reich4052 seid, im1537 Glauben4102 und235 im Wort3056 und2532 in1722 der Erkenntnis1108 und2532 in1722 allerlei3956 Fleiß4710 und2532 in eurer5216 Liebe zu4052 uns2254, also schaffet, daß2443 ihr auch2532 in dieser5026 Wohltat5485 reich seid.

7 Therefore,235 as you abound4052 in every3956 thing, in faith,4102 and utterance,3056 and knowledge,1108 and in all3956 diligence,4710 and in your5209 love26 to us, see that you abound4052 in this5124 grace5485 also.2532

8 Nicht3756 sage3004 ich, daß ich etwas2596 gebiete2003, sondern235 dieweil1223 andere2087 so fleißig4710 sind1381, versuche ich auch2532 eure5212 Liebe26, ob sie rechter1103 Art sei.

8 I speak3004 not by commandment,2003 but by occasion1223 of the forwardness4710 of others,2087 and to prove1381 the sincerity1103 of your5212 love.26

9 Denn1063 ihr1097 wisset die1565 Gnade5485 unsers2257 HErrn2962 JEsu2424 Christi5547, daß3754, ob er wohl reich4145 ist5607, ward4433 er doch arm um1223 euretwillen, auf daß2443 ihr5209 durch1223 seine Armut4432 reich4147 würdet.

9 For you know1097 the grace5485 of our Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ,5547 that, though he was rich,4145 yet for your5216 sakes he became4433 poor,4433 that you through his poverty4432 might be rich.4147

10 Und2532 mein Wohlmeinen hierinnen gebe1325 ich. Denn1063 solches ist4851 euch5213 nützlich, die3748 ihr angefangen habt4278 vor575 dem5129 Jahre4070 her, nicht3756 allein3440 das5124 Tun4160, sondern235 auch2532 das Wollen2309.

10 And herein1722 5129 I give1325 my advice:1106 for this5124 is expedient4851 for you, who3748 have begun4278 before,4278 not only3440 to do,4160 but also2532 to be forward2309 a year4070 ago.575

11 Nun aber1161 vollbringet2005 auch2532 das Tun4160, auf daß3704, gleichwie2509 da ist ein geneigt Gemüt zu wollen2309, so3779 sei auch2532 da ein geneigt Gemüt zu tun von1537 dem, was ihr habt2192.
|
11 Now3570 therefore2532 perform2005 the doing4160 of it; that as there was a readiness4288 to will,2309 so3779 there may be a performance2005 also2532 out of that which you have.2192
|
|
12 Denn1063 so1487 einer5100 willig4288 ist4295, so1437 ist2144 er angenehm, nachdem er hat2192, nicht3756 nachdem er nicht3756 hat2192.
|
12 For if1487 there be first4295 a willing4288 mind,4288 it is accepted2144 according2526 to that a man5100 has,2192 and not according2526 to that he has2192 not.
|
|
13 Nicht3756 geschieht das der Meinung, daß2443 die andern243 Ruhe425 haben und1063 ihr5213 Trübsal2347, sondern1161 daß es gleich sei.
|
13 For I mean not that other243 men be eased,425 and you burdened:2347
|
|
14 So3568 diene1519 euer5216 Überfluß4051 ihrem1565 Mangel5303 diese1565 (teure) Zeit2540 lang1722, auf1537 daß1519 auch2532 ihr Überschwang hernach diene eurem5216 Mangel5303, und235 geschehe1096, was gleich ist1096.

14 But by an equality,2471 that now3568 at1722 this3588 3568 time2540 your5216 abundance4051 may be a supply for their want,5303 that their abundance4051 also2532 may be a supply for your5216 want:5303 that there may be equality:2471

15 Wie2531 geschrieben1125 stehet: Der3588 viel4183 sammelte, hatte1641 nicht3756 Überfluß4121, und2532 der3588 wenig3641 sammelte, hatte1641 nicht3756 Mangel.
|
15 As it is written,1125 He that had gathered much4183 had nothing3756 over;4121 and he that had gathered little3641 had no3756 lack.1641
|
|
16 GOtt2316 aber1161 sei5485 Dank, der solchen Fleiß4710 für5228 euch5216 gegeben1325 hat in1722 das3588 Herz2588 des846 Titus5103!
|
16 But thanks5485 be to God,2316 which3588 put1325 the same846 earnest4710 care4710 into1722 the heart2588 of Titus5103 for you.
|

17 Denn3754 er1209 nahm zwar3303 die Ermahnung3874 an; aber1161 dieweil er so sehr fleißig4707 war5225, ist1831 er von selber830 zu4314 euch5209 gereiset.
|
17 For indeed3303 he accepted1209 the exhortation;3874 but being5225 more4707 forward,4707 of his own830 accord830 he went1831 to you.
|
|
18 Wir haben4842 aber1161 einen Bruder80 mit3326 ihm846 gesandt; der das3739 Lob1868 hat1722 am Evangelium2098 durch1223 alle3956 Gemeinden1577;
|
18 And we have sent4842 with him the brother,80 whose3739 praise1868 is in the gospel2098 throughout1223 all3956 the churches;1577
|
|
19 nicht3756 allein3440 aber1161 das, sondern235 er ist auch2532 verordnet5500 von5259 den Gemeinden1577 zum Gefährten4898 unserer2257 Fahrt in dieser5026 Wohltat5485, welche durch5259 uns2257 ausgerichtet1247 wird4314 dem3588 HErrn2962 zu4862 Ehren und2532 (zum Preis1391) eures5216 guten Willens4288.

19 And not that only,3440 but who was also2532 chosen5500 of the churches1577 to travel4898 with us with this5124 grace,5485 which3588 is administered1247 by us to the glory1391 of the same3778 Lord,2962 and declaration of your5216 ready4288 mind:4288

20 Und verhüten4724 das5124, daß uns2248 nicht3361 jemand5100 übel nachreden möge3469 solcher reichen Steuer100 halben, die5026 durch1722 uns2257 ausgerichtet1247 wird.
|
20 Avoiding4724 this,5124 that no3361 man5100 should blame3469 us in this5026 abundance100 which3588 is administered1247 by us:

|
21 und2532 sehen darauf4306, daß es redlich zugehe2570, nicht3756 allein3440 vor1799 dem HErrn2962, sondern235 auch vor1799 den444 Menschen.
|
21 Providing4306 for honest2570 things, not only3440 in the sight1799 of the Lord,2962 but also2532 in the sight1799 of men.444
|
|
22 Auch haben1381 wir4842 mit ihnen gesandt unsern2257 Bruder80, den3739 wir oft4178 gespüret haben1381 in1722 vielen4183 Stücken4183, daß1519 er846 fleißig4705 sei5607, nun1161 aber1161 viel4183 fleißiger4707.

22 And we have sent4842 with them our brother,80 whom3739 we have oftentimes4178 proved1381 diligent4705 in many4183 things, but now3570 much4183 more4707 diligent,4707 on the great4183 confidence4006 which3588 I have in you.

23 Und2532 wir sind1535 großer Zuversicht zu1519 euch5209, es sei1535 des Titus5103 halben, welcher mein1699 Geselle2844 und Gehilfe4904 unter5228 euch ist, oder unserer2257 Brüder80 halben, welche Apostel652 sind der Gemeinden1577 und eine Ehre1391 Christi5547.

23 Whether1535 any do inquire of Titus,5103 he is my partner2844 and fellow helper4904 concerning1519 you: or1535 our brothers80 be inquired of, they are the messengers652 of the churches,1577 and the glory1391 of Christ.5547

24 Erzeiget1731 nun3767 die Beweisung1732 eurer5216 Liebe26 und2532 unsers2257 Ruhms von5228 euch5216 an1519 diesen, auch2532 öffentlich5228 vor den846 Gemeinden1577.

24 Why3767 show1731 you to them, and before1519 4383 the churches,1577 the proof1732 of your5216 love,26 and of our boasting2746 on5228 your5216 behalf.5228
